Why I Created the Postcard Project
Let’s be real — checking the mail these days kind of sucks.
It’s mostly credit card offers, bills, or random ads you didn’t ask for. Personally, I’ve stopped looking forward to it. And I have a feeling I’m not the only one.
That’s exactly why I created the Postcard Project — to bring a little bit of light into your mailbox. Every month, you’ll receive a piece of uplifting mail designed to make you smile. It’s my small way of making the daily routine feel just a little bit better.
A Simple Joy in the Mailbox
Each postcard in the Postcard Project features an original piece of handmade art from me — sometimes a painted design, other times a carved print. On the back, there’s a short note, written like I’m talking directly to you. Something to remind you that you’re not alone. That you’re doing okay. That someone is cheering you on.
This isn’t just another subscription. This is uplifting mail you’ll actually want to keep.
Stick it on your fridge, hang it in your workspace, use it as a bookmark, or give it to someone who could use a little pick-me-up. These postcards are designed to be both beautiful and useful — little reminders that color, connection, and creativity still exist outside our screens.
And the best part? It’s a form of affordable art that fits into any budget.
Why Physical Mail Still Matters
We live in a time when everything is online — and while there’s nothing wrong with that, I think there’s still something special about holding a physical piece of mail in your hands. Especially when that mail is created with care and intention.
Studies have even shown that receiving uplifting mail can reduce stress, increase feelings of connection, and bring genuine joy. It’s a small thing that can make a big impact. That’s the feeling I’m hoping to bring back with the Postcard Project.
Plus, if you’ve ever wanted to support a small artist but didn’t have room in the budget for big prints or original paintings, this is the perfect alternative. Each postcard lets you collect and enjoy affordable art at your own pace — no pressure, no stress.
A Way to Stay Connected (Off the Internet)
Other artists I admire had similar mail clubs, and I thought — what a brilliant idea. I knew I wanted to create something that let me connect with my community in a way that felt personal and genuine. The Postcard Project is my version of that. A monthly moment of joy that lands right in your hands.
So if you're looking for a way to add a bit of brightness to your daily routine, or you just want to collect some affordable art that means something to you — this might be the thing.
Every card is a small dose of creativity, comfort, and connection. It’s not just a postcard. It’s uplifting mail you’ll actually be excited to open.

Whether you tuck it on your fridge, slip it into a journal, or reread it on a tough day — each postcard is a quiet little reminder that you're not alone.
I started this project because I believe small, meaningful moments still matter. That art can connect us. That kindness doesn’t need to be big to be powerful.
Thanks for being here — it means more than you know. 💌
With heart,
Devyn
